About Lydia

Lydia has always been active, with a background in team sports and a love for the outdoors. After significant back pain made her slow down and re-assess, she returned to Pilates – a practice she once dismissed – and became hooked by its power to support her recovery, develop her strength and better her everyday movement. Her enthusiasm for running soon returned, sparked by time on the trails with her dad and a passion for adventure that’s taken her from Hadrian’s Wall to the Outer Hebrides.

Now a certified STOTT Pilates teacher, Lydia also leads local runs as a UK Athletics Leader In Running Fitness. She is fully insured and has her 2-day Outdoor First Aid qualification.

Lydia is continually developing her own understanding of movement and Pilates - always learning, always exploring and always looking for ways to better support those she teaches.

Whether it’s snowboarding, hiking or planning the next mountain mission, Lydia brings real-world experience, warmth and energy to every session – with a focus on making movement outdoors and in the studio feel welcoming, empowering and fun.

  • "Lydia has been a fabulous teacher for my initiation to Pilates. She is always calm, kind and responsive to your needs. • "I never saw myself as a strong runner and often avoided running with others because I was afraid of slowing them down. Then I met Lydia. She never made me feel inadequate – instead, she helped me focus on the joy of running rather than chasing times. For the first time, I understood what it meant to run at a conversational pace and actually enjoy it. Lydia also introduced me to Parkrun, which has become a regular highlight in my week. Thanks to her, running is no longer something I dread – it’s something I genuinely look forward to."

  • “I’d always wanted to try Pilates but was too nervous to take the plunge. Lydia completely changed that. Over the past year, she’s introduced me to a variety of exercises and I’ve noticed a real difference – especially in my core strength (I’ve discovered abs I didn’t know existed!). I genuinely look forward to our sessions each week. Lydia’s deep knowledge and thoughtful approach mean everything is tailored to our individual needs, and she creates a supportive, fun and challenging environment that keeps me coming back.”
